What We Made Today...

Dreamcatchers

This week we made dreamcatchers and explored the meaning behind every part of their design.

  1. Circle of wireThe circle represents the eternal cycle of life.
  2. Eight-point starThe beaded star represents the spider and protection.
  3. Colourful beadsEach child created a personal pattern across the wire frame.
  4. FeathersFeathers guide good dreams down to their owner.

A dreamcatcher protects and guards its owner while welcoming good dreams.

"The activities suited both my children, even though they are different ages. There was enough guidance without making every artwork look the same."

Mum of two young artists

"The class felt calm, organised and fun. I liked that English practice was built into the art naturally, not like a formal lesson."
